What's the worst that could happen?

I have a serious question for you

What’s the worst that could happen?

What's the worst that could happen if....
  • You show up at the gym and you are not the fittest person there?
  • You are the only person at the party turning down the junk food?
  • You spend a little extra on quality ingredients?
  • You take that big scary step outside of your comfort zone?
  • You DON'T take that step?

Could you handle it? What would you do? Would you survive?

2019 has been in interesting year for me. I’ve had big decisions and big fears, some that still creep up.

A new practice I’ve made is taking the time to consider, for each scenario, what’s the absolute worst that could happen? And, if that happens, what will I do? How will I manage? Can I manage? Will I be able to get through it, to figure it out? The answer is always, yes, I will. It might suck, but I will.

Now, and more importantly, what’s the BEST that could happen?

What's the best that could happen if...
  • You show up at the gym even though you are not the fittest person there?
  • You are the only person at the party turning down the junk food?
  • You spend a little extra on quality ingredients?
  • You take that big scary step outside of your comfort zone?
  • You DON'T take that step?
Asking these questions has helped tremendously, both with decision making and with easing my nerves. I know that if the worst happens, not only do I have a plan for it, but I can survive it. I also know there is always the possibility that the best will happen.

When you’re stuck in fear or worry, take the time to consider these questions. Know your plans, then take action!
